Why 28 nights is the threshold
Twenty-eight nights is the point at which most serviced accommodation switches to a monthly rate, and it is also the boundary used in a lot of short-let regulation. Practically, it is where a furnished stay starts to compete directly with renting — without the tenancy, the furniture or the utility accounts; a refundable security deposit applies.
